Meet Sarah and Lindsay

Best friends make wonderful needlepoint partners! We met while teaching together and bonded over shared interests, including a love of needlepoint. In our spare time, we worked together to find special canvases and threads, select stitches and accessories, and discuss ideas to finish our projects. We dreamed of opening our own store someday!

It Started With a Beach Trip

 In the summer of 2025, we were at the beach with some family members, needlepointing, of course. We mentioned our dream and that we’d been researching how to open an online needlepoint store. Several family members offered to help, and amazingly, we were able to open Palmetto Needlepoint within five months! Our name comes from South Carolina, the state we call home, but our collection reflects a full range of places and things we find interesting. We choose each canvas with the hope that you’ll be as excited to stitch it as we are to share it. We’re here to help you find your next favorite project. 

Different Generations, Plenty of Personality

With our families, we represent three generations of women with South Carolina roots and more than twenty-seven years of needlepoint experience. From canvases to accessories, everyone in the group helps choose what goes into the shop collection. In addition, Lindsay designs original canvases and helps keep us organized. Sarah manages inventory and handles the packaging and shipping of your orders. Madison, Sarah’s niece, manages our social media, and other family members assist with tasks such as taping canvases and photography. We’re planning to offer many original designs and introduce finishing services by the beginning of 2027.
